San Diego Zoo

With over 3,700 rare and endangered animals and a botanical collection of over 700,000 plants, the San Diego Zoo represents a nearly limitless learning opportunity. Beyond Biology and Ecology, students learn about buoyancy from hippos and aerodynamics from birds and penguins.

Birch Aquarium

Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the Birch Aquarium features more than 60 habitats for fish and invertebrates. The aquarium also showcases research discoveries by scientists from the Scripps Institute of Oceanography on climate, earth, and ocean science.

La Jolla Shores Beach

Whether we're collecting shells or digging a giant hole, the beach is always a great location for fun, exercise, and learning. Building sand castles teaches the students about structural engineering and teamwork. The bluffs are always eager to explain Geology and erosion.

Standley Park Playground

Located just a short walk East of University Preschool, Standley Park is a wonderful location for exploration and social interaction.

University Gardens Park

For days when we want step way back in time, University Gardens Park features a Prehistoric theme. Just watch out for the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Legoland

Let creativity thrive with a park built for kids.  Legoland combines fun with construction.  They will learn about physics building and racing their own cars.

SeaWorld

The oceans cover 71% of the surface of the Earth.  At SeaWorld, we learn about the animals living on and below the surface of the water.  From petting dolphins to chatting with sea lions, kids will get up and close with the sea life.

Family Trips

At University Preschool, we believe in family time. We organize trips for our students and families to share amazing experiences together. From camping to Disneyland, there are many opportunities for family fun. We take care of all the logistics so all you have to do is join in and enjoy the experience.
